A general rating of at least 80.00 for both Professional and Subprofessional. CSC does not round ratings up, and it does not re-check papers.
Both levels take Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, and General Information (the Philippine Constitution, RA 6713, peace and human rights, and environment management). Professional adds Analytical Ability; Subprofessional adds Clerical Ability.
Professional has 150 scored items plus 20 unscored EDQ items in 3 hours 10 minutes. Subprofessional has 145 scored items plus 20 EDQ items in 2 hours 40 minutes.

Professional eligibility covers first level (clerical) and second level (technical) government positions; Subprofessional covers first level positions only. Neither covers jobs that require a professional license or a special eligibility.
