FAQ
About this CSE reviewer
Is this Civil Service Exam reviewer free?
Yes. The topic guides, 40 sample questions, flashcards, glossary, and the ~40-item diagnostic are free, and the diagnostic needs no signup. A prepaid pass unlocks the full 1,900+ practice bank and full-length mocks.
Is this an official CSC reviewer?
No. CSEPass is independent and not affiliated with the Civil Service Commission. Our questions are original study items written to match CSC's published scope, not actual exam questions.
What subjects are in the Civil Service Exam?
Both levels take Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, and General Information. Professional adds Analytical Ability; Subprofessional adds Clerical Ability. General Information covers the Philippine Constitution, RA 6713, peace and human rights, and environment management and protection.
What is the passing score for the Civil Service Exam?
You need a general rating of at least 80.00 for both Professional and Subprofessional. CSC does not round ratings up.
Should I review for Professional or Subprofessional?
Professional eligibility covers first and second level government positions; Subprofessional covers first level positions only. If you qualify and want more options, review for Professional. The shared subjects mean most of your review carries over either way.
How long should I review for the Civil Service Exam?
It depends on your starting point. Take the free diagnostic first: its topic map shows how much ground you have to cover, so you can plan by weak topic instead of by guesswork.
When is the next Civil Service Exam?
See our Civil Service Exam schedule guide for the next published CSE-PPT dates and filing periods, taken from CSC examination announcements.
Ready to see your weak topics?
~40 questions. No signup. Topic map the moment you submit — then come back to these guides for the skills that need work.
